Are you regretting not doing a newborn photo shoot?
Newborn Photography is Time Sensitive
"Man... my biggest regret or shall I say, mom guilt was not getting any newborn photos taken professionally for my son. I mean, I do have photos of him on my phone but the first 2 months were a total blur and the ones I do have to look back on aren’t that great. Now he’s 3 months and I get so emotional thinking I should have done this, should have done that... It doesn’t help seeing all these people on IG get them for their little ones. Anyone else on the same boat" (reddit)
As one of Los Angeles best newborn photographers, I can tell you feeling this way is common, but remember, it's never too late to capture beautiful moments with your baby. Book a photo shoot now, while your baby is still small enough to capture those adorable smiles and new milestones. These photos will become cherished memories that you'll treasure for years to come. And if a professional shoot isn't an option, don't underestimate the value of everyday photos and videos you take yourself, they tell the authentic story of your baby's early days.
When is The Best Time for Newborn Photography?
At Maxine Evans Photography, I prefer to photograph newborns between 5-10 days old, capturing that precious stage when they are still in their super sleepy, squishy, and curly state. This period is also ideal before baby acne typically sets in. While I can certainly photograph older newborns, the optimal time is within the first 10 days.
While this is the optimal window, I'm more than happy to photograph babies a bit older as well. Just remember, the first 2 weeks is golden for those dreamy, curled-up poses. (read more)
